Choosing the right search tool We have two search tools on LifespanCareers.orgone for current Lifespan employees and the other for all other candidates. Please make sure to apply on the correct site or your application may not be received. The same information is available on both sites.
You can click on "view all positions at Lifespan" to see all our available positions, but as the largest health system and private employer in Rhode Island, that's a lot to look through! Use our search tool to narrow the list down using criteria that are important to you. Following is an explanation of each of the search features:
The "reset" button at the bottom will clear all fields for you to search again.
Once you find the position you are interested in, you will notice an "apply online for this position" link at the bottom. Once you click on that link, you will need to supply an email address and create a password. Once you do that, you will be at the application form. Fields marked with an asterisks (*) are required to be filled in. Please be sure to choose a source, which lets us know how you heard about us. There are three pages to our application process. Your application will not be sent to us until you click the "submit" button on the third and final page.
Confirmation that Your Application Was Received Once you complete the application process, an email confirmation will be sent to the email address you provide to us. It will include an unformatted version of your application at the bottom. Please make sure your email address is correct when submitting your application. Lifespan is not responsible for email addresses that are entered incorrectly or for technical problems that prevent the email confirmation from being received. If you do not have an email address, you might consider visiting a site that offers free email accounts (Yahoo! and HotMail are examples) and registering one for yourself. If you do not wish to supply an email address, please create a unique username that you will remember into the email field. Please note that if you do not supply an email address you will not receive a confirmation that your application was received and you cannot sign up for email notifications of new positions.
Submitting your resume more than once for the same position will NOT increase your chances of being contacted. We will contact you if your skills and qualifications match the position(s) you have expressed interest in. Submitting your resume multiple times may result in a delay processing your application. The only time you should send us another application is if you need to update your information or if you wish to apply for a different position. Viewing the Application Status for Position(s) You've Applied To Once you complete the application process and have applied for a specific position, you can periodically check the status of your application online. Click on the View Application Status link at the top of the search page. Enter your email address and password (remember to use your original email address and password used at the time you created your account) and click Login. The results for your recent application including: Application Date; Req. Number of the position; Title and Status for the position will be provided.
